Don has taught violin to students of all ages and levels.
His experience has ranged from classrooms of 28 children at the Waldorf School in Santa Cruz, CA, where he taught for eight years, to private one-on-one lessons. During 35 years of helping private students get to know the violin, he has developed a unique and compassionate teaching style. His personal method combines modern techniques with the classical form he learned in the European Conservatories.
Learning to relax while playing the violin is vital to gaining freedom of expression and mastery of this special instrument. Drawing on years of experience performing and teaching, Don can help anyone from child to adult become comfortable and adept at making their own music on the violin.
